The Flower Friday Low Down

Now that we're happily hanging out in The Barn, offering all kinds of creative courses, as well selling fabulous faux flowers, contemporary homeware and Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, many of our customers don't know that we started our business as florists - creating fresh flowers for weddings and events, and delivering flowers locally on a Friday under the aptly named Flower Friday.
So this week, we thought we'd tell you a little bit more about Flower Friday and why we think it's so great!
1) We always choose flowers that are seasonal and beautiful - combining them in unusual ways, ready to go straight into a vase (no technical arranging required - maybe just a trim to stem ends). We create bunches that are perfect for gifting to others - or to yourself - most of our customers buy flowers for themselves because having fresh flowers in your home is quite simply joyful. Self care is so important!
2) All our flowers are wrapped in brown paper and tied with string which means that your money is spent on flowers rather than fancy packaging. Not only does it look fabulous, but it's more environmentally friendly that way too, which we think you will agree is a jolly good thing.
3) We can deliver locally within a pretty wide radius of Kibworth. Flowers on a Friday are great for gifting and super special when they can be delivered directly to your recipient.
4) We are florists - so we like to think we know what we're doing. You can buy your fresh flowers from Mr Sainsbury or Mr Waitrose - but we don't think they're as trained in floral design as we are. We can offer advice about flower selection and care as well as design. If you have a specific request, just give us a call and we'll be happy to help in any way we can.
5) Our Friday flowers arrive with us on a Thursday - fresh from growers - so they haven't been sitting in our shop for days before you get them. We cut and condition them after their journey to us to ensure tip-top beauty, and then we deliver them to you the next day. Many of our customers tell us how happy they are that their flowers last so long.
6) When you choose to buy your flowers from Mon Amie, you are helping a small business to grow in a local community. We don't harp on about this too much but we are proud of what we've created in our village and your continued support means so much to us.
