Nurturing your creative inner soul...

This week we hosted a lovely baby shower workshop for a gorgeous group of women - all keen to get creative with some flowers; producing some fabulous hand tied bouquets. We love hosting workshops - sharing our love of flowers along with everything we know about cutting, caring and combining them into our Mon Amie signature styled bouquets.
Our creative workshops, whether they're our own floral workshops or being run by other creatives for us at The Barn, are always so much more than just learning a new skill. Spending time out to be creative means you have to forget about the day to day, leave your stresses at the door, and get your brain tuned in to a new way of thinking. It often takes a while to get in the groove - you have to loosen up, free your mind and allow yourself to be absorbed. Sometimes it takes bravery to try something new - especially if you're not used to being creative. A left brained job can mean your right brain needs some coaxing into action!
It's incredible how many people arrive at a workshop telling us they 'aren't creative' and 'they'll never be able to do that' - and then even more incredible how often they leave feeling overjoyed with what they've created. Releasing a creative inner spirit is fun and spending time with other people, all absorbed in the same creative endeavour, is also truly rewarding.
Our workshop space at The Barn is a really relaxing place to get creative - we have a calm and unruffled kind of vibe where it's easy to unplug, unwind, take some time out and then press restart knowing that you've nurtured your creative core.
Wishing you all a creative week,
Love Lou & Ju x
